ImageSummits for Women of Color Administrators in Higher Education

 

The purpose of these summits is to promote the participation of women of color at all levels in higher education, but especially within senior administrative leadership. During the summits participants:

  • Engage in candid discussions about different routes to the presidency.
  • Reflect and deliberate on the rewards and challenges of higher education management and governance.
  • Engage in networking and the building of mentoring relationships.
  • Acquire or hone their skills in critical areas such as fundraising, crisis management, working with the media, and managing multiple constituencies.
  • Learn more about the intricacies of the presidential search process from experienced search consultants.
  • Interact with current and former women presidents and chancellors of color to learn more about their career trajectories, experiences, and strategies for success.
