From its first programs for returning World War II veterans, the American Council on Education has supported access to postsecondary education. The following links connect you to ACE programs and services geared to adult learners and lifelong learning professionals.

ACE Transcript Service
Provides lifelong learning registries for adult learners who have taken ACE-evaluated military and corporate courses.

Center for Lifelong Learning (CLLL)
Offers programs and services for colleges and universities, the military, and business, labor, and industry. Addresses lifelong learning issues through national initiatives, publications, and workshops.

CenterPoint Electronic Magazine
Distributes quarterly online news and articles for lifelong learning professionals.

College Credit Recommendation Service (CREDIT)
Helps adults obtain academic credit for formal courses and examinations taken outside college and university degree programs.

FirstStop Web Site
Provides an online clearinghouse of organizations across six sectors-business/industry, higher education, international, lifelong learning, military, and union.  This timely information gives professionals the latest news about what's working and where in lifelong learning alliances, projects, and programs. 

General Educational Development Testing Service (GEDTS)
Develops and distributes General Educational Development (GED) Tests. A GED credential documents high school-level academic skills.

Improving Lives: Ensuring the Academic Success of Low-Income Adults
A multifaceted, three-year project of ACE's Center for Policy Analysis, funded by Lumina Foundation for Education, to address the issue of academic success for low-income adults.

Military Programs
Provides programs that advance postsecondary access and completion of educational goals during and after periods of military service.
