Through observation and participation in higher education administration at the top level, ACE Fellows experience:

  • An effective learning process in educational leadership, administrative organization, and change strategies.

  • Relationships among different levels of administrative officers.

  • Decision-making at various levels.

  • Relationships between the president (and other senior administrators) and the governing board, legislature, business and industry, K–12 community, and the public.

Host Campus (Work On Site)

When Fellows work on site at their host campuses, they pursue various projects that advance their own interests as well as those of their home and host institutions. In particular, they undertake a project specifically designed to contribute to their home (nominating) institutions.  The host institutions also keep the Fellows informed of issues and projects on their institutional agendas.

Some projects that Fellows have undertaken in recent years have included:

From avoiding to embracing challenges... From seeing 'as through a glass, darkly' to clarity.
